In addition to our normal brush hogging and tractor mowing, Texas Mowing services offers CRP Mowing services. If you are enrolled in the CRP and or CREP program, periodic mowing is required.
Whether you have a few acres, hundreds of acres or thousands of acres, Texas Mowing services can perform the necessary CRP Mowing service anywhere in Texas.
To properly maintain your CRP status these periodic mows are time sensitive and must be performed on time. So for this to be accomplished on time, there are 3 requirements for you, the land owner.
1. Know when your periodic CRP mowing is to be completed.
2. Know exactly what is required of you for your property.
3. Schedule your CRP Mowing ahead of time, preferably at least a month so there aren't any scheduling conflicts and or the weather doesn't catch you.

What is the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP)?
The Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) is a land conservation program administered by the Farm Service Agency (FSA). In exchange for a yearly rental payment, farmers enrolled in the program agree to remove environmentally sensitive land from agricultural production and plant species that will improve environmental health and quality. Contracts for land enrolled in CRP are 10-15 years in length. The long-term goal of the program is to re-establish valuable land cover to help improve water quality, prevent soil erosion, and reduce loss of wildlife habitat. Why is CRP important?
Signed into law by President Ronald Reagan in 1985, CRP is the largest private-lands conservation program in the United States. Thanks to voluntary participation by farmers and land owners, CRP has improved water quality, reduced soil erosion, and increased habitat for endangered and threatened species.
As of Reported Jan 27, 2016, the average CRP land rental rate in the U.S. in 2015 was about $70 per acre, with an average of $51 per acre on General CRP acres, $114 per acre on Continuous CRP acres and $144 per acre on CREP acres. CRP rental rates vary widely from state-to-state, and within different regions of a given state.
